At The Wick Sanctuary, every candle is crafted with care, calm, and intention. We believe candles are more than just sources of light — they’re rituals of rest, reminders to breathe, and vessels for peace. Whether you’re curious about our process or simply mesmerized by the gentle rhythm of creation, here’s a closer look at how our candles come to life.

Preparing the Vessels

Every candle begins with a clean, carefully chosen vessel. We hand-inspect each jar or container, wiping them down to ensure they’re free from dust, fingerprints, or oils. The wick is then secured in place — centered and anchored firmly to ensure an even burn. This step might seem simple, but it’s the foundation of a quality candle.

Melting the Wax

We use a blend of coconut and rapeseed wax chosen for its clean burn, beautiful creamy texture, and sustainability. Coconut wax offers a slow burn and excellent scent throw, while rapeseed keeps our footprint low and our quality high.

The wax is slowly melted using a gentle, controlled heat until it reaches the ideal temperature — smooth, liquid, and ready to be infused with fragrance.

Adding Fragrance

This is where the magic truly happens. As the wax cools slightly to the perfect fragrance-binding temperature, we stir in our curated scents — a blend of essential oils and high-quality fragrance oils. This step takes patience and precision, allowing the scent to fully bind with the wax for an even, long-lasting throw when burned.

Whether it’s grounding sandalwood, calming lavender, or a unique signature blend, each scent is hand-measured and mixed to evoke serenity and soulfulness.

The Pour

Once blended, the wax is carefully poured into each prepared vessel. This is a slow, intentional process — no rushing, no splashing — just a steady pour to avoid air bubbles and ensure a smooth surface.

Each candle is then left to cure in a quiet, undisturbed space. This resting time is essential — it allows the wax to solidify slowly and the fragrance to settle beautifully.

 Finishing Touches

Once set, the wicks are trimmed, surfaces are inspected, and each candle is lovingly labeled and packaged by hand. The final product is more than just a candle — it’s a piece of the Sanctuary, ready to bring light and calm to your space.
